The Chairman of the RAR Corporation MichaeL von Berg MC has offered his deepest sympathies to the family of Corporal Richard Edward Atkinson, who was killed in action during o

perations in Afghanistan on Wednesday 2nd February 2011.

Corporal Atkinson was serving with 1st Combat Engineer Regiment on operations with Mentoring Task Force 2 when he tragically lost his life following an Improvised Explosive Device incident.

“Our Regiment Association’s thoughts and prayers are with Richard’s family, and his mates serving in Afghanistan with The Royal Australian Engineers Regiment.”
