The RAR Association offers its condolences – 09 Jul 2010

The National President of the RAR Association, Major General ‘Hori’ Howard has offered his deepest sympathies to the family of Privates Nathan Bewes, who was killed in action during operations in Afghanistan on Friday 9 July 2010.

Private Bewes was serving with 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment on operations with Mentoring Task Force 1 when he tragically lost his life following an Improvised Explosive Device incident.

“Our Regiment Association’s thoughts and prayers are with Nathan’s family, and his mates serving in Afghanistan with The Royal Australian Regiment.”

“We honour Nathan’s service and grieve the sacrifice he has made, his spirit will live in our Regiment’s and the nation’s military history”
