DEATH OF MAJGEN J.C.HUGHES AO DSO MC

Sadly, we have been advised of the death of MAJGEN Jim Hughes, AO, DSO, MC, on Friday 12 Aug 2016, a fine soldier of the RAR and SAS.

He served in 3RAR in Korea (Op Commando, MC) and Malaya; 2 SAS Sqn in Malaysia/Borneo; and as CO 4RAR/NZ (ANZAC) in SVN (DSO).

Funeral details are yet to be advised, but almost certainly in Melbourne and possibly on Mon 22 Aug.
